A copper and zinc alloy with a warm, golden tone that no coating can fake. The most expensive of the five materials and the only one whose colour alone signals the price bracket.

It darkens and gains depth with time — polished faster, satin slower. You can stop the process with a clear lacquer or let it run; both are good decisions, but one has to be made before fabrication, not after.

We reach for it on small, representative details: reception logotypes, plaques, accents in hospitality. Across large areas the cost rises faster than the effect.

When to choose it, when not to

Choose it if

  • a warm colour no gold-imitating coating can replace
  • ages gracefully — the patina deepens the colour rather than spoiling it
  • the strongest signal of quality on a small detail

Skip it if

  • the most expensive of the five — cost climbs fast on large areas
  • fingerprints show clearly on polished surfaces
  • the lacquer decision has to be made before fabrication
